Your practice has a set number of user licenses. A single user license is used when you initially log into CGM webPRACTICE. Internally, the license is linked to a combination of values; Namespace, CGM webPRACTICE User Code and the current workstation IP Address. This is referred to as the 'User Code Combination.' You are allowed to have up to five separate sessions for that specific User Code Combination.
For example, if User Code 'MGR' logs into Namespace 'C1234' with the workstation IP Address of '192.168.1.2', they can log into CGM webPRACTICE up to five times concurrently on the same workstation - all under one user license. These five sessions can be any combination of normal log ins, New Sessions, or QuikLink sessions. Any attempt to log in more than five times under the same User Code Combination will cause the "Maximum connections exceeded" message to display.
If the 'MGR' User from the example above logged in from a second workstation, this would take up second user license even though it is for the same User Code. This is because the workstation IP Address would be different on the second workstation and a separate User Code Combination would be stored.
You need to be aware of the sessions you have open and make sure to properly log out of any session that you are not using, otherwise other Users may not be able to log in if all of the user licenses are in use.
