eMEDIX eResp Integration

With the eMEDIX eResp Integration function, you can store the database and user credentials used when CGM webPRACTICE communicates with the eMEDIX clearinghouse to send electronic claims, validate transmissions, retrieve confirmation reports, and import Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) files.

Action Required: If you are sending claims to the eMEDIX clearinghouse, you must complete this integration for each database in your system to ensure that your 5010 claims transmit properly.



Upon accessing this function, a summary list displays the existing credentials for the current database:

To edit an account, click anywhere in the row. To add a new user account, click Add User in the Action Column.

CGM webPRACTICE User Name Type or select the CGM webPRACTICE user code that this eMEDIX account belongs to. The user's printing name displays to the right of the field. For the database account row, this field is not populated. 10
eMEDIX User Name Type the user's corresponding eMEDIX user name as assigned by eMEDIX. 30
eMEDIX Password Type the user's password as assigned by eMEDIX. 30
eMEDIX DSN Type the DSN assigned by eMEDIX. 10
Active Selected by default. Clear this check box if you want to deactivate the account so the user will no longer have access to eMEDIX eResp.    

Action Column Functions

Add User - Opens a blank detail screen so you can add a new eMEDIX user account for the current database.

Credential Validation

The eMEDIX credentials stored in this function are validated automatically in the background whenever certain operations are performed:

If credentials cannot be validated after you have re-verified them in this function, contact Customer Service for assistance.

NOTE: When a user enters and saves a new password through the eMEDIX Credentials function (Billing > eMEDIX Credentials), the eMEDIX eResp Integration is automatically updated for that CGM webPRACTICE User Code.
