Prepare/Send Transmission File

You must contact the CGM webPRACTICE EDI Department before sending electronic claims.

With the Prepare/Send Transmission File function you can transmit your electronic claims to CGM US. If you have Internet access from your CGM webPRACTICE server, you can send your claims directly to CGM.

If you do not have a direct Internet connection, you can send your claims using a modem and connect into the BBS system at CGM. You will be assigned a logon and password prior to sending claims in this method. After the connection is complete and both systems have acknowledged each other, your claims will be transmitted and your confirmations downloaded.

If your connection was not successful using either method, your claim file will not be journaled and all claims will remain in your untransmitted file.

A 'Claim Sent' note is entered in the patient's insurance ledger with the date that you actually sent the claim file.
