CPT®/DX Cross Linking Table
With the CPT/DX Cross Linking Table you can create an internal link between procedure codes and diagnosis codes. If certain procedure codes require specific diagnosis codes to be linked to them for insurance reimbursement, you can use this table during procedure entry to have CGM webPRACTICE alert you to these situations.
The CPT/DX Cross Linking Table provides the following functions for managing CPT/DX linked codes:
In Procedure Entry, CGM webPRACTICE will alert you if a procedure code has a 'cross-linked' diagnosis code and you did not enter that diagnosis code. CGM webPRACTICE will also recognize if a procedure code within a procedure grouping code has any diagnosis codes cross-linked. You can view a list of every cross-linked diagnosis code for a procedure code by clicking the dx button next to charge amount field for that procedure code.
