Update the Procedure Price List

With the Update the Procedure Price List function, you can update either all of the normal fees and/or the rate schedule amounts contained in the Procedure Table at the same time, or you can select to update the normal fees and/or alternate fees contained in the Fee Schedule Amounts for a particular fee schedule.

Upon accessing this function, the Update the Procedure Price List screen displays containing blank data fields.

Procedure Code or Fee Schedule Table Select the option to update the prices in either the Procedure Code Table or the Fee Schedule Table. 1
Fee Schedule Type the code you want or select from the Fee Schedule list.   10
Update Dr Rate Schedule Select the rate schedule (A-E) to update or leave this field blank to update all the Normal Prices in the Procedure Code Table.   1
Percent Update Type a positive or negative percentage amount to use when updating the prices. Type a full amount or a decimal amount. For example, '3' increases the fees 3% and '2.5' increases the fees by 2 and 1/2%. Do not type the % sign. 6

Then, indicate which procedure codes you want to update. For information about entering sorting data for reports, see Selecting Ranges for Reports under Introduction, Printing in CGM webPRACTICE, Standard Printing Options. Even though this function does not generate a report the same principles apply when selecting ranges.

Begin with Procedure Code Type the code you want to begin with or leave the field blank to start with the first item in the table.   25

Effective Date If updating Fee Schedules, type the effective date of the fee schedule or click the calendar icon to select a date. Otherwise, leave the field as it defaults to the current date.   10

NOTE: The new fee will be rounded off to the next highest whole dollar amount if the original fee was either a whole or half dollar amount (e.g. 10.00 or 10.50). If the original amount included odd cents, CGM webPRACTICE will not automatically round the new fee.
