Import RVU Unit Values

With the Import RVU Unit Values function you can import the latest Relative Value Unit (RVU) Schedule. The RVU data files and the calculation formula are provided by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the current code file is made available as it becomes effective. You should use this process to save large quantities of data entry time and ensure the accuracy of the data loaded.

This function automatically calculates the RVU's by processing the National RVU's with the formula provided by CMS using the Geographic Practice Cost Indices (GPCI) Locality file you select.

This function loads the new RVU's for every procedure code stored in your Procedure Code Table into the RVS Schedule and Effective Date you select. For information about the steps involved in setting up RVS Schedules and the yearly update process, see RVS Schedule Setup Process under the Introduction, System Processes help section.

Upon accessing this function, the Import RVU Unit Values screen displays containing blank data fields.
