Transaction Journals Summary to Excel

With the Transaction Journals Summary to Excel function, you can print an Excel report that provides a summary of Charge, Payment, and Adjustment totals for a specified date range. The summary can be grouped by Performing Doctor or by Transaction Location, and can be reported by Accounting Date or Service Date. This report is also available on the Reports, Transaction Journals menu.

Print Transactions for Select Performing Doctor to group the summary by the performing doctor on each transaction, or select Transaction Location to group the summary by the location on each transaction.  
Print by Service Date If you want the report to gather data based on the date of service, select this check box. Leave blank to gather data based on the accounting date.   1
Print from Date Type the start date for the date range you want included on the report, or click the calendar icon to select a date.   10
Print through Date Type the end date for the date range you want included on the report, or click the calendar icon to select a date.   10

After completing the lead-in screen and clicking Save, a second screen displays so you can specify the range of Performing Doctor codes (or Transaction Location codes, depending on your selection) to include on the report. Leave both fields blank to include all codes.

Begin with Performing Doctor Type the code you want to begin with, click the magnifying glass to search the table, or leave the field blank to start with the first code in the table. (When Transaction Location is selected on the lead-in screen, this field is labeled Begin with Transaction Location.)    
End with Performing Doctor Type the code you want to end with, click the magnifying glass to search the table, or leave the field blank to end with the last code in the table. (When Transaction Location is selected on the lead-in screen, this field is labeled End with Transaction Location.)    

You can print this report to Excel by selecting the Microsoft Excel via MyReports option in the Printers dialog box. If you select the Notify me when report is complete check box, you will receive a pop-up message when the report is complete. You can select to view the report using the link in the pop-up or you can elect to retrieve the report from MyReports at a later time. Sample Report

The Excel report header lists the date generated, the practice name, the report title, the date range covered (labeled Accounting Date or Service Date based on the option selected), and the grouping selection (for example, Performing Doctor All Codes or a specific code range).
