Copy the Fee Schedules

With the Copy the Fee Schedules function you can update your fee schedules by copying the alternate and allowed amounts for one fee schedule into another within the same database. This function eliminates the need to manually type the procedure codes and updated allowed amounts into the new fee schedule. It is not necessary to create a new fee schedule for the new effective date prior to using the Copy function. It will automatically create the fee schedule with the new effective date you specify.

For information about the steps involved in the yearly update process, see Fee Schedule Setup Process.

If your existing fee schedule contains 'Alternate Fees' and you are performing the yearly update process, you must perform the Copy function first. If you plan on adding new or updated alternate fees, you can manually enter them either before or after updating the allowed amounts. You can enter the new fee schedule amounts either manually or use the Import Fee Schedules function.

If your existing fee schedule does not contain 'Alternate Amounts', you have two methods available for updating your fee schedules.
Upon accessing this function, the Copy the Fee Schedules screen displays containing blank data fields.
