CPT®/DX Cross Linking Table

With the CPT/DX Cross Linking Table you can create an internal link between procedure codes and diagnosis codes. If certain procedure codes require specific diagnosis codes to be linked to them for insurance reimbursement, you can use this table during procedure entry to be alerted of these situations.

In Procedure Entry, if a procedure code or a procedure code within a procedure grouping code has a 'cross-linked' diagnosis code and you did not enter that diagnosis code, you will be alerted. You can view a list of every cross-linked diagnosis code for a procedure code by clicking the dx button next to charge amount field for that procedure code.
