Maintain CPT®/DX Linking

With the Maintain CPT/DX Linking function you can review diagnosis codes previously linked to a procedure code, link a new code to a procedure code, or edit any diagnosis codes previously linked to a procedure code.

Upon accessing this function, the CPT/DX Cross Linking Code screen displays containing blank data fields.

After you select the procedure code, any diagnosis codes that have been previously linked to the procedure code will be listed in the Linked Diagnosis field. Click (remove) next to a code to remove it from the list. If no diagnosis codes have been previously linked or if you want to link additional codes, you can type a diagnosis code or click the magnifying glass to search the table and click Add. The diagnosis code and description will appear in the Linked Diagnosis field.
