Update Procedure Prices

With the Update Procedure Prices function, you can update all of the normal prices and/or rate schedule prices contained in the Procedure Code Table.

Upon accessing this function, you can select whether to update the prices directly, update the prices using a Fee Schedule, or update the prices with RVU Values. The following links provide detailed information for each available option:

Update Procedure Prices
With the Update Procedure Prices option, you can update all of the normal prices and/or the rate schedule prices contained in the Procedure Code Table.



After selecting this option, the Update Procedure Prices screen displays containing blank data fields.

Begin with Procedure Code Type the code you want to begin with, click the magnifying glass to search the table or leave the field blank to start with the first item in the table.   25

Copy from Price Effective Date Select the existing effective date for the Procedure Code Prices. 10
Copy to Price Effective Date Type the new effective date you want to create or click the calendar icon to select a date or accept the default of the current date. 10
Prices to Update Select which amounts you want to update in the Procedure Code Table.   1
Update Dr Rate Schedule Select the rate schedule (A-E) to update the rate schedule prices in the Procedure Code Table or leave this field blank to update all the Normal Prices in the Procedure Code Table.   1
Percentage to Update Prices Type a positive or negative percentage in whole number or a decimal format, but do not include the % sign. For example, type 50 to increase the price by 50%, 2.5 to increase the price by 2.5% or -50 to decrease the price by 50%. 6
Rounding Select the rounding option you want.    

After completing the required fields, click Save.

When the Proceed with updating prices for Effective Date 'MM-DD-YYYY' message appears, click Yes.

When the Update Complete message appears, click Proceed.

Update Prices with a Fee Schedule
With the Update Prices with a Fee Schedule option, you can update the Facility or Non Facility normal prices and/or the rate schedule prices contained in the Procedure Code Table using a Fee Schedule.



After selecting this option, the Update Prices with a Fee Schedule screen displays containing blank data fields.

Click Save.

When the message, Updating the price list with (fee schedule name) amounts appears, click OK.

When the message, Prices have been updated appears, click OK.

Update Procedure Prices with RVU Values
With the Update Procedure Prices with RVU Values option, you can update the prices in the Procedure Code Table with the values calculated from your RVU schedule and conversion factors. Prior to using this function you should print the Print RVS Schedule Comparison report to review the new prices prior to updating your procedure code table.



After selecting this option, an informational screen displays.



After you click Proceed, the Update Procedure Prices with RVU Values screen displays containing blank data fields.

RVU Effective Date Type the effective date of the RVS schedule you want or click the calendar icon to select a date. 10
Plan Code Type the code you want or select from the Plan Code list. The plan code contains the conversion amounts for the prices.   5
