Claim Hold Reports

The Claim Hold Reports menu provides the following functions for printing detailed reports for any procedures that have been pended during a specified time frame:

Claim Hold by Billing Group
Claim Hold by Procedure Code
Claim Hold by Location
Claim Hold by Performing Dr
Claim Hold by Responsible Dr
Claim Hold by Ins Carrier

You can also print these reports from Claim Hold Reports on the Reports Menu.

You can hold claims through the Procedure Entry Function by entering a date in the Claim Hold field. The reasons for holding a claim vary. For example, you may need to hold a claim from being sent to an insurance company while you await additional insurance information from the patient, for example. Claims are held until the the Claim Hold date passes, at which time the claim will be created in the normal Create Insurance File function.
